Your Challenge

Sensitive and important data, as well as expiring records, exist on many platforms in your environment with very different tools available to try to management them. You likely still have lots of files on file servers and you want them to be managed in the same way as SharePoint. But you want them to be visible through the familiar File Explorer interface and you don’t have time to classify them or figure out which ones are records.

You may also have lots of records in file servers, Azure files and blobs, but Microsoft does not natively extend the Purview Records Management functionality in Microsoft 365 to Azure files.

Azure Storage: Storage containers in Azure files, ready to be mounted on any device for the storage of documents, records, or system data. Secure and compliant and restricted to specific geographic regulations. Visible to users of File Explorer with appropriate permissions

Information Protection: Find, view, and label files with sensitivity labels across these various platforms to leverage Microsoft data governance tools such as DLP

Records Management: Management of the lifecycle of records with automatic and manual declaration, immutability of the legal evidence, disposition workflow with user friendly review portal. Built with Purview Compliance and Infotechtion tools.
